Wars and hatred can leave us Extremely Sad!

Image
Extremely Sad about two wars+ going on at the same time and especially about the 5000+ mostly innocent children and people who have been killed in Gaza/Israel all because of Hamas and hate although Israels extreme policies haven’t helped. Extremely Sad because of the 18 killed in Maine and then the killer committing suicide. Extremely Sad because of the 12 killed so far on this Halloween weekend with I'm almost sure more to come.  Extremely Sad for are we nurturing our young children, with inner hygiene daily on the importance of being a child of Joy, Peace, and Love or are reading, writing and math more important? Modern pedagogy, however, by its own admission, has a strong emphasis on Job Preparation and Earning Potential. This is markedly different from classical education in which the goal is to help students thrive not just at work but in the very art of living by cultivating a life of flourishing through personal excellence.

Parts of a Bell are almost Anthropomorphic...

Image
Parts of a Bell & Functions Yoke The yoke is a wooden portion of the bell for fastening bells to churches or towers. The use of wood help to create a good acoustic, whereas metal yokes deform the acoustic of the bell. Canons The portion of the bell attached to the yoke is the canons. Like many contemporary bells & handbells, cannons are fastened directly on the yoke. Artisans forge the canons from the same piece of steel as the main bell instead of later attaching the canons by welding or riveting. It prevents the formation of weak and unstable points in the bell structure. Crown The bell’s top is known as the crown. In some bells, the craftsman attaches the crown to the bell if the cannons are present. If bells are not properly maintained, the crown is one of the first pieces to potentially suffer damage. The rest of the bell’s structure gets harmed if the crown develops cracks. Shoulder Under the crown is the shoulder, which curves down to the bell’s waist. Beca

Aloha - Namaste in Hawaiian & A pono pono!

Image
Aloha - I acknowledge the Love, Light and Life in You!   The word is found in all Polynesian languages and always with the same basic meaning of " love, compassion, sympathy, kindness ", although the use in Hawaii has a seriousness lacking in the Tahitian and Samoan meanings. A pono pono!  In life, pono stands for  righteousness and balance . In Hawaiian, if a person is living pono, it means that they have struck the right balance in their relationships with other things, places, and people in their lives

Song of the Bell (1799) F. Shiller I call the living • I mourn the dead • I break the lightning

The Song of the Bell by Friedrick Shiller published in 1799 as interpreted by Marianna Wertz  who was vice-president of the Schiller Institute. Later used by Beethoven in his 9th Symphony                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          A Fugue in Four Voices The poem is a fugue in four principal parts, which interact and jointly develop, much as voices do in a fugal composition by Bach or Mozart. The first voice is the technological process of forging a great bell . The second voice, for which the bell is also a metaphor, deals with the development and life of the individual. The third voice concerns questions of statecraft and the French Revolution, in which the subjects of the first and second voices are placed in the larger, universal context. The fourth voice, whic

Vibration, Frequency & Resonance

“As you begin to understand that everything in creation is based on a system of Energy — and when you learn some very basic things about how this Energy behaves — you will begin to unleash a creative force in your life that will seem miraculous.” — Bob Doyle   The first step to consciously creating your life is understanding everything is energy. Why? Because energy can be directed, shifted, and changed. Most importantly, when you change your energy, you change your life.    Below is an ongoing list of a few key nuances about energy and how it works in regards to fully stepping into your power as a  conscious creator  of your life. 1.       All life, everything in nature, all physical objects, and everything in our organic and inorganic world  is energy . 2.       You are not physical matter. You are  pure energy . To be exact atomically you are made up of 99.99999 percent energy and .00001 percent physical substance. 3.       Your thoughts are units of mental energy that can

Campanology Word of the Day: Canon

Image
Campanology Word of the Day: Canon There are many parts to a bell and each is given a name steeped in the craft of bellfounding and campanology. For instance, a bell has both a waist and a shoulder, a lip and a mouth. It’s even crowned with a…well, crown. But above the crown is that part of a bell by which it is suspended from a beam or truss: the canons. Canons are loops of bronze equally distanced from each other, encircling the top of the bell. They are cast together with the bell itself, giving strength as one single piece of continuous metal (as opposed to being welded or riveted as a separate component). Since bells were first suspended in towers, canons have held them in place, often strapped to headstocks that allow the bells to rotate on pins. The shape of a bell, in large part, dictates the sound, so bellfounders won’t stray too far from the mathematical proportions that ensure perfect tones and melodious rings. With the canons, however, they are given artistic freedom, and

The Undertones of War!!

9/11-Ukraine, now Israel & Palestine…The Undertones of War!! 1.        Post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD is the scourge of all wars/terror attacks all over the world. No war spares the innocent or the guilty, civilians or those who fight. Think of 9/11 or the carnage going on right now in Ukraine. 2.        Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians that have been decimated with the warfare going on in there. 3.        Russian young men thought this was a military exercise and many have become handicapped or killed for what? 4.        The number of amputees alone in the Ukrainian side is more than the British suffered in all the years of World War I. 5.        The number of casualties on the Ukrainian side is more than the casualty rate during the First World War which destroyed millions and millions of lives. We want to feel the agony of what it means to be a veteran however… 6.        T he veterans, particularly in the United States have the highest suicide rate, 22.2 ve
